I’m able to see a difference but my eyes are also very used to deciphering between frame rates. 0.5 speed definitely makes it easier!

60 fps is visibly smoother but yes you’ll be able to see it more in 0.5x.

Unfortunately data is deleted after 30 days but every once in a while an account will slip through the deletion process. You can at least attempt it but you will most likely get an error.

No, this video does not have the same issue. The target audience for the video is not people who are already highly educated on the topic. The target audience is people who are just starting out and need a more basic explanation, that’s what this video solves. This is not meant to go into individual specifics. It’s just supposed to be a mostly basic recap of the topic. I don’t see where I said the crop sensor had anything to do with it being choppy, if I did that’s definitely not what I meant. However, the rolling shutter does have to do with it looking “choppy”.

@@TheDomainS That's fair. The video is great for beginners. I was addressing the first point in the comment you showed at the begininng of the video telling you that 24 fps derived from 60 fps is not ideal i.e. not true 24 fps. This is still a problem in this video. You clearly said "SINCE it is a crop sensor the footage in 4k will always look choppy...". SINCE -> THEREFORE is an implication. But ok maybe that was not the best way to put it. It seemed like this video is meant to fix any mistakes or clear things up from the previous video so I left a comment about what I thought could be better.

The 24fps footage was genuine and wasn’t derived from 60, I might not be quite understanding your point there. Got it. That would have been a total mistake on my end, I didn’t mean to put it that way. The video was more or less meant to go into more detail on the topic without getting too advanced, it was also meant to fix the issue of deriving 24 from 60 footage. I made the last one when I was much younger than I am now, it was just something really basic that I posted thinking it would not gain any attention but to my surprise it did. I wasn’t going to do anything about it until that other user had said something, then I created one that used more genuine footage following the shutter rule and not random footage from a phone camera. I may not quite understand the science behind everything therefore I had only posted what I had known was in fact true. Except for the rolling shutter part, total mistake on my end

@@TheDomainS Sorry for me being annoying but this video does have the same problem with 24 fps because youtube converts it to 30 fps. That means that for every 1/30 of a seccond the frame needs to change. But for your 24 fps footage, those 24 frames cannot be displayed in equal time periods that way without changing the speed of the video. So we have a problem of displaying 24fps on 30fps encoded video: Take 30fps encoded video. Divide 1 seccond by 30 and you get 0.03333... . So each 0.03333... seconds you need to put a new frame on the display. Now how would you display 24 fps video. You could display first frame at seccond 0 but what about next frame? Ideally you would display the next frame every 0.041666... secconds (1/24) but remember that this is 30fps encoded video so that's not possible. So to display that second frame you can either leave the first frame on seccond 0.03333... and then display the second frame at seccond 0.066666... or display the second frame right after first. But you can't do this for every frame because then you will not display all 24 frames after one seccond (you will only display 15) or you will display 30 frames (but you only have 24). You see how we can't equaly space those 24 frames in the time domain? This makes the video choppy because there is a stutter every 5 frames. Real 24fps would display a new frame every 0.041666... seconds and there wouldn't be any stutter. In your original video you dropped 36 frames when going from 60 to 24 fps and in this video 24 frames are output from the camera and youtube needs to make up for it by introducing duplicate frames every 5 frames. It's the exact same problem. This 24fps is equivalent to 24fps in your old video.

@tothespace2122 Ah okay I see what you’re saying, unfortunately there’s just nothing I can do about that. Anyone coming and watching this kind of video is not going to care about that. The visuals get the point across whether it’s true 24 or not, it’s close enough for the point being made. However, it will be helpful for someone to read through the comments at a later point if they’re interested in the exact specifics.

I’m not in Pittsburgh, if you’re going by IP address, you’re wrong. As I’ve explained to others, this network goes through many tunnels with IP addresses that change daily which is why I didn’t bother with trying to cover up the IP.

@mcmuffin8969 I’m assuming you’re using Windows, if so that would be why. It’s so stupid but you need the HEVC player, just pay the 99 cents it’s worth it. I’ve had it for years. Stupid they make us pay to play a video shot on iPhone though. macOS and Linux shouldn’t have this issue though, if it helps. Alternatively, if you really don’t want to spend the money download VLC media player and use that instead.

Sadly, Snapchat support doesn’t care. They never have. There is a variety of errors that it will give you that don’t exist but they prevent you from getting your memories. What error is it giving you?

Sadly there’s not much you can do when you get that error. You can keep trying, sometimes it will let you after some time passes but it’s rare.

Definitely! This allows for the ISO and shutter to be lower giving you a way better looking image!
